Being somewhat of an introvert, it took me several months just to apply for the Knowmads Lite Team 2 program; even then I was doubtful. The mere thought of sharing ideas, expressing feelings and offering opinions is a scary one for me, especially with people I do not know.
‘Whatever makes you uncomfortable is your biggest opportunity for growth.’ This quote is one that has been at the forefront of my mind for years. Having been between home and the world for the last 8 years has made me realize that if I am not growing then I am dying. I aim to surround myself with people who are smarter than I am, who know something I don’t so that I am constantly in a position to learn and grow. This is where I found the courage to follow through and join the Knowmads team. I have no regrets.
The prospect of finally being able to answer the question: ‘Who am I?’ was exciting, only to learn that this question and all of life is really loaded with questions rather than answers; the answers are in the questions.
My (short) Knowmads journey was filled with uncomfortable, out-of-the-box, impromptu challenges that got me out of my comfort zone and into a place of sharing, revelation and rediscovery.
This could only have been possible in a safe space. A space where judgement, negative energy, egotism and criticism (if any) are replaced with open-mindedness, positive energy, acceptance and a willingness to learn and grow.
This is the kind of environment Knowmads provides. One where you’re encouraged to be different, to discover, to share your gifts, to do what’s in your heart and make a difference.
Love and Light,
